โ€œMost wonderful vacation home ever.โ€ Reviewed August 8, 2016 for a stay in August 2016 1 person found this review helpful The pool, the hammock, the dock, the decor....it was the best place i have ever stayed. I didnt want to leave. Laying in the hammock every night listening to the palm trees swaying in the breeze. Watching the snook hit the greenies over the underwater light at the dock. Taking a refreshing swim after a long day on the boat. An evening bike ride around key colony. It was everything we wanted on our vacation. And the house was decorated exactly as my own tropical retreat would be decorated, and it is such a comfortable home. I am hoping to come back for 2 weeks next summer.

Relaxed in Paradise โ€ข 5 of 5 We had a great time at this house. All we had to do was buy groceries and move in for the week. Having the pool to float around in 24/7 was delightful. The coconut palms help shade the summer sun which made it even better. We fished from the dock every night and always caught something. The underwater dock light was awesome. It attracted bait fish which were just memorizing. Everything you needed was close. Super safe neighborhood. The walk to sunset beach in evening as locals and other vacationers gather to end the fun filled day was always a highlight. We were able to relax and enjoy life at this location. Dallas, Georgia Level 3 Contributor 17 reviews 2 helpful votes โ€œWonderful Timeโ€ Reviewed November 9, 2015 for a stay in November 2015 2 people found this review helpful We recently stayed at this location and were not disappointed. Enjoyed the pool,Cabana Club, fish lights and local parks, especially Sunset Park. Rental was clean, good HVAC, well stocked, furnished with newer kitchen appliances, plenty of cookware, dishes, flatware, glasses, etc. The private pool rocked. A very good location for Key hopping and we hit them all. Best beach had to be Bahia Honda State Park probably a 20 minute drive. Drove to Key West and ate at Sloppy Joes one afternoon. Saw abundant wildlife especially at Big Pine Key. Overall we saw probably 10-12 key deer, iguana, owls, egrets, osprey, dolphins, turtles, rays, alligators, manatees, too many birds to list, too many fish to list, etc. Rented a boat and docked it right outside the back door, sweet. Fished the Atlantic and Gulf and caught fish everyday I went. Saw the sunset from the Atlantic and Gulf by boat, cannot describe if you have not experienced it.. Hope to return.

"Holidays on the Keys" Nov 3, 2015 Deckman2015, Ratzeburg, Germany Nice, well-kept house with furniture that also meet European tastes. We have already seen some in the US - here you come'rein and feels well. It is clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Boats can be rented nearby. Bicycles. The property is located in an area that makes a very secure, high-quality impression. Here we would like to go `times. However, there is nothing for people who like to lie on the beach in the area. Response from Owner, Mr. Decker, Thank you for taking the time to provide this great review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope to have you back so you can discover the beautiful beaches we have available within minutes of the house at the Cabana Club, Sunset Park, Sombrero Beach, Bahia Honda and CoCo Plum. I am just sorry you did not find them on this visit. Thanks again and take care. Michelle Julian

Perfect Vacation Home! โ€ข 5 of 5 We rented this piece of paradise for the month of July 2015 and it was absolutely perfect! (Couple with 2 teenagers and a small dog). The private back yard with pool was awesome and we used the pool every day. At night the lighted pool and lighted canal makes for an exceptional relaxing experience! KCB is a great spot for fishing, boating, snorkeling and relaxing! The house is as advertised and then some! This home is very clean with nice, comfortable furnishings. The owners are exceptional and truly care about the quality of your stay and your comfort. We cooked at home most nights and the kitchen is well stocked with items not normally found in rental homes. Bedding, towels, beach chairs, coolers, bait freezer - all provided and very good quality. We highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back! โ€ข Submitted: Aug 10, 2015 โ€ข Stayed: June 2015

Paradise in Key Colony โ€ข 5 of 5 We just returned from renting this beautiful home! It is a tropical paradise!!! We have rented several homes before in the Keys and we just fell in love with this house! We are a family of four and it was perfect! The backyard and pool is a tropical paradise. After fishing and snorkeling all day we enjoyed relaxing in the hammock under the swaying palm trees, and jumping in to the pool.My boys would would fish off the dock or paddle board down the canal. We would see sting rays, dolphin and a variety of fish. The dock/canal area is well kept and the owners just put in underwater lights so you can see the fish at night! We enjoyed fishing and snorkeling all day and then boating out to see the sunset at night. It was easy to dock your boat there and they have a fish cleaning table and bait freezer! So rather your a fisherman or just there to relax it really has something for everyone to enjoy! There were two bikes available to use at the house and you also have access to the cabana club as well. However, we did not venture far from the house because we had everything we needed right there! They also have a washer and dryer and all the necessities you need for cooking and grilling! We definitely will be renting this house again and can't wait to return to Paradise!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! โ€ข Submitted: Jun 13, 2015 โ€ข Stayed: June 2015

Holiday for two โ€ข 5 of 5 My husband and I just got home two days ago from our wonderful stay in this charming home. Everything about our use of this home was fantastic. They were flexible with our dates so we could rent from Tuesday to Tuesday which was very important for us. The home itself was truely our home away from home. It had everything we could possibly need. We paid to have the pool heated and it was worth every penny. We enjoyed a late evening swim almost every night. Location in the middle keys was perfect. Took very little time to reach Key West or Key Largo for day trips. Sunset Beach is a wonderful way to end your day with a beautiful Key's sunset accompanied by music, your favorite beverage and friendly people and was less than 5 min walk away. The dock area would be great for a boat and was nice for fishing. We really envy the owners being able to retire to such a lovely place. We hope to return some day and highly recommend this home for a great vacation! โ€ข Submitted: Dec 18, 2014 โ€ข Stayed: December 2014

A FlipKey verified reviewer Mt. Laurel, NJ โ€œWishing I was there right now!โ€ Reviewed November 22, 2014 for a stay in November 2014 We stayed at this charming home in November. It was charming, clean, and had everything you could need! The backyard was its own little paradise, where we enjoyed many outside dinners next to the water. Pool was perfect, but a little chilly for November--next time, we will plan to have the pool heated. This house was also in walking distance of a few unique day or night spots. Owners were kind and caring, too. We will definitely be back!

Cute, clean & convenient! A KCB gem! โ€ข 5 of 5 My husband and I and our little dachshund stayed in this cute little half duplex for one week. The rental process was very well organized and easy to complete. The place is extremely clean and decorated very nicely. The owners have stocked it with every item necessary to enjoy your stay. We were very impressed by these little extras. We have rented other homes in the Keys and specifically KCB and most do not provide these extras like coolers, nice beach chairs, bicycles, floats for the pool, etc. The house is small but perfect for one or two couples or a family. We always travel with our dog and we so appreciated the owners allow pets. The pool was one of the reasons we rented this home over others. It was very nice but water was unexpectedly chilly for October. We still enjoyed it but should have purchased the ability to heat. If I had one minor complaint it would be the Master bedroom mattress. Not too comfy, felt kinda like an air filled mattress but this would not deter us from staying here again or recommending highly to others. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise. โ€ข Submitted: Nov 2, 2014 โ€ข Stayed: October 2014

A FlipKey verified reviewer Grand Rapids, MI โ€œGreat way to enjoy the Keysโ€ Reviewed September 8, 2014 for a stay in September 2014 Our family of three stayed for the week over Labor Day for a wedding nearby. Extensive research throughout the keys resulted in a wonderful stay. Our 9 month old absolutely loved the pool and fountain. My wife and I grilled fish nightly. We enjoyed morning and evening walks to Sunset Park. We were most impressed with the "livability" of the home--ie almost all the supplies you'd need such as peppercorns, olive oil, tin foil, pool towels and noodles, washer/dryer etc. The home was just perfect for us. It'd be a wonderful spot for fishing, boating etc. (Our young one ruled this out) The location is also great: We enjoyed Bahia Honda State Park, a day trip to Key West. The Cabana Club was another nice option, although with the backyard pool we found no need to leave. Ownership is extremely responsive--the gas line to the grill was dysfunctional and the entire grill was replaced within the hour on a holiday weekend. Impressive.

A FlipKey verified reviewer Moorestown, New Jersey โ€œWonderful Family Vacation!!โ€ Reviewed August 12, 2014 for a stay in July 2014 Our family of 4, including a 19 year old and 17 year old, stayed here for a week in late July and could not have scripted a better vacation! We rented a 21 ft. boat for the week from Vacation Boat Rentals which is right around the corner from the house. It was great to just walk out the back door whenever we liked, jump in the boat, and head out for some great fishing or snorkeling (there are two snorkeling sanctuary areas that are not far and have buoys to tie up to so it is easy to do). When not out in the boat we spent a lot of time lounging in the pool behind the house, the pool was perfect for the 4 of us to hang out in with beverages, and have some quality relaxing family time. For dinner most nights we enjoyed the fun and hassle free experience of barbecuing on the gas grill provided, but for a nice night out, Sparky's is a great bar/restaurant nearby that has excellent food and a fun atmosphere. The house is great, then throw in the boat dock, pool, and hammock, all in your private back yard, and it is truly a little slice of paradise! Easily the best family vacation to date, I would recommend this place highly!!

โ€œThe most relaxing vacation I've had in years!โ€ Reviewed July 15, 2014 for a stay in April 2014 I rented this house for a week and I am definitely going to vacation here again. The house was very clean and modern. The kitchen has everything you need for an extended stay. The pool is a huge bonus for this place. We would spend the mornings at the beach. Then come back to the house in the afternoon and relax in the pool before going out to dinner. The location couldn't be any better. Key Colony Beach is a secluded quiet community. There are three great bar / restaurants in walking distance. We loved the Key Colony Inn! There is also a 9 hole golf course a block away. And there are plenty of attractions and things to do on Marathon Key. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful area.

Loved this place!!! โ€ข 5 of 5 I rented this house for a week with 4 friends. The house was perfect, very clean and nicely decorated. We woke up every morning and fished in the back yard and drank our coffee. The days were spent at the private beach club that comes with the rental or in the pool that is at the house. There are four or five restaurants that you can walk to from the house or get a drink for happy hour. We also barbecued and made dinners at the house. It's the perfect place to relax for a week.
