Stewart - July 2024 - Great home to spend a relaxing week in Key Colony! Everything you need is here so there's no need to spend your first day shopping for essentials. Check-in was a breeze, as was check-out. Enjoyed using the pool afer a long day of sightseeing. Appreciated the restaurant listing, too! We'll be back.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Michelle's home. The home is well-kept, clean and is the perfect Florida Keys vacation spot. We had a super small hiccup, but the response to get it taken care of was immediate! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

7/1/23-7/8/23 Hi Michelle Iโ€™d like to start by saying a great big thank you from my husband Jerry, Jax and myself for reaching out to let us know that you had a rental available in KCB. We had the time of our lives and took more naps last week than I think Iโ€™ve taken in the last 30 years ๐Ÿ˜‚ Your home is so packed full with amenities that I quickly realized I completely over packed. We love the way youโ€™ve decorated the place and also the upgrades are beautiful also. ๐Ÿ‘ Weโ€™re looking forward to many more stays if you continue to keep it available for the future. I want to add from one rental property owner to another that when we arrived on Saturday the place was spot on clean and ready to go. Other news, we indulged on one of the ripe and delicious pineapples in your yard. โ€œI had actually cut one from one of my plants the day before we headed to the keys and left it in my refrigerator at home so I was ecstatic when I saw one ready to go at your house!โ€ I also gave your plants a nice drink of water God Bless and many thanks again!! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Awesome first stay in the Keys! Left on Oct 12, 2019 for a stay in Oct 2019 This was my first time visiting the Keys and it could not have been more perfect! The central location was ideal for our fishing vacation, with a boat dock right at our unit and easy access to the open water. The unit itself was extremely clean and comfortable and the layout had an easy flow. Not only did we have a small private pool of our own, but we had access to the Key Colony clubhouse, large pool and private beach. Our host, Michelle, reached out when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed and to offer tips and suggestions on local activities. I definitely plan on making a return trip!

The BEST of the BEST (and we are fussy)!!! We stayed in this lovely home at spring break for the last TWO years since we loved it so much! We stayed at another place in KCB before that didnโ€™t have near the charm or amenities as this home. We loved the private pool (newly all refinished and now salt - amazing), bikes, dockage, washer/dryer and all the feels of home. It is on the sunny side of the street which is such a bonus with the additional sun time. You can tell the owners take pride in this home and they make it feel like a welcome place away from home! The hammock and Adirondack chairs are so comfy and the house has extra blankets, pillows, towels, beach chairs - anything you could think of (even coolers)! We rented a boat both years and found the docking so easy and convenientโ€ฆa great spot to access both the ocean and the gulf on rougher days. Thanks for sharing your home with us - we have built some special memories there and hope to return. The owners make it obvious they care about their renters too when our son left his well loved stuffed animal there, they had it brought home to them by other renters and shipped it home to us - so sweet and thoughtful! This is a rental you donโ€™t want to miss!

The layout of the place is great--even though it is small it is well thought out and everyone had plenty of room. The house has EVERYTHING you could ask for - bikes, fishing poles (we caught a lot of small snapper off of the dock), a bait table, underwater lights, and a perfect pool and grill area. We made use of everything and had a great time. Key West and Islamorada are less than an hour away (in different directions) and there is a lot to do with the family in the area. Both Michelle and Barbara (the property manager) were extremely easy to work with. Check in is at 3pm but I recommend getting to the property manager's office no later than 2:15 and settling in with a book since the office is chock full of renters by 3pm. Thanks so much--we had a great time!

Michelle, the Owner, had everything you could ever need while staying at the Keys! We also enjoyed the four bikes that were available for myself and my family. A lot of places you can ride your bikes to especially, the Cabana Club! Having the swimming pool was exceptional! During those hot days when you wanted to take a break and grill out, the pool made a big difference and in the future, I would never want a house in the Keys without one! I promise, you rent this house, you will be overjoyed with the experience. All you really need are your groceries and beverages...that being kid friendly and of course adult beverages! Michelle, thank you again and you will certainly be hearing from us again!

Great stay โ€ข 5 of 5 We just returned after two weeks at this great home. Even though it is a duplex we felt like it was a single home since no one was staying on either side of us. I can't say enough about how well the house was stocked with everything you could think of. The house was very clean and well taken care of with many cute outside decorations. We loved the pool and swam daily. The underwater light in the canal was mesmerizing watching the fish swim in circles. The owner left a hand written note to welcome us and stayed in contact to be sure we had everything needed and also answer any questions. We checked out Inch Beach but liked the house pool better and didn't ever go to the Cabana Club. Upon arrival there are many notes and signs to alert you to Key Colony rules you need to follow closely to avoid any fines. Take time to read them since they have their own police that strictly enforce these rules. โ€ข Submitted: Jun 26, 2017 โ€ข Stayed: June 2017

Michelle's home is very comfortable and has everything you need, the location is amazing as is the area its located, i would highly recommend anyone to stay at Michelle's home. Myself and my partner really enjoyed our week in Colony Key and would look at staying at Michelle's home again the next time we visit. The only down side to the local area is the beach club, i did visit on one occasion and found rather unfriendly and not a nice environment, we were met at the entrance by an obstructive, negative and unhelpful person who was unwilling to help or offer advice, we got the impression we were not welcome. (Cabana Club) Thanks Michelle for letting us rent your lovely home it was an amazing week

SmokieBr Chicago, Illinois Level 6 Contributor 149 reviews 29 hotel reviews 68 helpful votes โ€œLovely Houseโ€ Reviewed November 13, 2016 for a stay in November 2016 Vacationed with my husband, and another couple visiting from England. This house was perfect for all of us. Our hosts provided everything we needed for indoor and outdoor living. It is centrally located - an hour's drive to either Key Largo or Key West. Outdoors - we enjoyed the pool, grill, patio dining set, hammock, bicycles, and fishing canal during our week-long vacation. The lounge chairs were perfect for late afternoon sunbathing. The chairs and towels came in handy for our day trips to nearby beaches. The washer and dryer was put to good use, and the clothesline was handy as well. Indoors - the bedrooms and bathrooms were supplied with plenty of linens. The kitchen had everything we needed. And the living/dining area had plenty of space for all of us to stretch out after a long day. Also good WiFi connection. We went to Sparky's, on a very crowded evening. Service was terribly slow, but food was good. I would definitely go back...on a slower night. Sunset Park is a must-do in the evening. A small group of people gather each evening to sing and enjoy the sunset. A nice way to say goodnight to another day in paradise. There is a small clean beach area there as well, and a long pier for fishing and viewing the sunset. There is also a private beach club membership provided with this rental. Unfortunately, the beach was closed due to a recent storm. The pool area is nice, with plenty of lounge chairs and patio dining tables/chairs. There is a full bar and food service is provided to all guests. No outside food or beverages are allowed, but the prices were reasonable. We only used it a couple of times for a short while ... we enjoyed the rental home much more! Our hosts were wonderful, always responding quickly to our communications. Very friendly and accommodating. There's so much more to write, but not enough space ... this is a true gem of a home in the Florida Keys! PS--We booked this rental thru a management company. It was just 'ok' ... never did meet the manager ๐Ÿ™ Personally, I would recommend the owners save their $ and get rid of this mgmt company.

Perfect Centrally Located Pool Cottage โ€ข 5 of 5 My wife and I stayed at this wonderful canal front cottage last month. The community, Key Colony Beach, was secluded and quiet. The location was perfect for exploring all the Florida Keys had to offer. It's about an hour from Key West - perfect for a day trip, which is exactly what we did. The cottage was very clean and well kept and the private waterfront pool and hammock were a major bonus. So nice to come back from a long day exploring the Keys and hop in the pool! We also took advantage of the bikes provided by the owners to explore the community and nearby restaurants. We can't wait to return to the Keys and when we do, we'll definitely be staying here again. Thanks so much for opening your home to us. โ€ข Submitted: Oct 30, 2016 โ€ข Stayed: September 2016

I can't say enough good things about this cozy, clean, vacation home. Sits on the canal with a private pool. The house was perfect for the 2 of us but would accommodate more. 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Bicycles are provided as we used these for exercise, ride to the beach, restaurants, cabana club, and bait store. We really liked the cabana club. Great food, drinks, staff, and nice stretch of beach. We would fish everyday in the canal with shrimp. Caught numerous fish each day. Underwater lights come on every night and the aquatic life is amazing. The iguana and heron would visit us every day. Pool, lounge chairs, and hammock were so relaxing. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. **we stayed during MATTHEW and owner called to check on us several times**

Wonderful vacation home - hoping to come back!! โ€ข 5 of 5 This vacation home was perfect for our family of four - mom, dad and two teenagers. Located ideally, it was really clean and had so many amenities - honestly, I can't think of a detail that was skipped! We loved the bikes and used them every day to get to the club house for the pool and beach, we even biked to dinner a few times. Biking to catch the sunset at the park was a fun way to wind down, as well. We like to stay somewhat active on vacation, and this was a fun way to explore Key Colony Beach. We really did enjoy the club house membership, and used it every single day! Thank you for providing the fishing gear, fishing in the canal was a fun way to spend our early evenings, and gave us an opportunity to meet some of the neighbors who were vacationing with their boats. The canal made us wish we had rented a boat for the week, maybe next time! We used the pool every day, and enjoyed cooling off every afternoon. Being on the canal and enjoying the sunset, while in the pool, was wonderful! It gave the kids an additional option, which is always a good thing. The house has an alarm you can activate for the sliding glass door onto the pool area, which is a great idea if you are travelling with small children. The kitchen is updated, clean and well-stocked. You will want for nothing - plenty of pots and pans, utensils, glassware, and great appliances. I do cook while on vacation, so these things were important to us. If you chose not to cook, there are plenty of options for dining that are available nearby, whether you want to walk, bike or drive. The homeowners have provided a ton of local information in binders, on nearby restaurants and attractions and things to do - THANK YOU so much for doing that, you saved us time and energy, as this was our first time in the area!!! This house was spacious for the four of us. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms provided the privacy we needed, while the open-plan kitchen and family room allowed us time together to eat, read, plan our day, or simply relax. The patio out back, however, was our favorite space to hang out and have morning coffee, or eat lunch and enjoy a swim, and of course, enjoy a cocktail and toast the sunset. We will definitely be back! Thank you for providing a comfortable and clean home away from home, on what proved to be one of our family's favorite vacations! โ€ข Submitted: Sep 28, 2016 โ€ข Stayed: June 2016

โ€œLoved this place! Can't wait to return!โ€ Reviewed September 9, 2016 for a stay in September 2016 I just returned from an amazing vacation! I can't wait to stay here again. I could not get enough of the pool. I loved how the owner provided bikes so we were able to explore around Key Colony Beach. The house is cozy and comfortable and has cute island touches that feel very bright and cheery. The dock has a light below where you can watch the aquatic life. We had a lot of fun fishing out there and my friend even caught a snook! One of the best perks of this property is the membership to the Cabana Club where you can lay by the pool, have drinks, eat and take in the beautiful ocean view all at the same time and it's right around the corner. I was there pretty much everyday. Will absolutely be returning. Can't wait to go back!
